Garage Fire - Box 33-5 | 696 Abbottstown Pike

A hot humid Wednesday afternoon was interupted at 15:06 hours for an unknown type of fire along the Abbottstown Pike. Within two minutes of dispatch, the county pre-alert was sounded for the box being upgraded to a garage fire. Assistant Chief 33 ( B. Martin ) went on scene with a fully involved garage fire approximately 20' x 50'.  E-33-2 laid a five inch supply line back the long lane, then the crew proceeded with the attack with handlines. Due to the temperatures, a rehab station was established by EMS personell. The fire was declared out in approximately 30 minutes. Assisting companies on the fire was East Berlin,Irishtown, Penn Township and Hanover for RIT. At 16:59 hours the box was placed into service. While returning to Station 2 for clean up, Truck 33 and Engine 33-1 responded to a medical assist call for lifting.For additional pictures of this fire visit 911-Photography .
