RIT assignment for Hanover Boro. | 243 Third Street

March 29, 2010

Company 33 was alerted for RIT at 2313 hours to respond to Hanover Borough.   Engine 33-1 responded on the call with Deputy Chief 33 Dustin Poist in command.   The crew from Engine 33-1 set up a RIT staging area at the front of the structure beside Truck 46.   Engine 33-1 returned to quarters at 0026 hours.   While returning the equipment back to the engine firefighter and past fire chief Dan Poist posed with a few friends from the Hanover Fire Dept for a picture. All of the men in this picture held the rank of chief of department at one time or another throughout their fire department careers. Its rumored this group of men have over 200 years of combined firefighting experience serving the New Oxford and Hanover communities.
