Electrical Fire | 212 West high Street

At 2002 hours while in the finishing stages of clean up from extingishing a large control burn, Company 33 was alerted for a structure fire at 212 West High Street in New Oxford Borough. Chief 33 arrived on scene to find a light smoke condition coming from the structure. Chief 33 had Engine 33-1 stage at the hydrant at the coner of West High and Water Streets while he investigated. Chief 33 ordered Engine 33-1 to lay a 5" line from the hydrant due to finding a electrical fire in the wall. Deputy Chief 33, Dustin Poist was the unit officer of Engine 33-1. He had firefighters Lucas Sieghman and Sean Dawley stretch one 1-3/4" line to the front door while he performed a more detailed investagation. Lt. 33, Joey Byrnes assisted firefighters Sieghman and Dawley with the attack line. Lt 33 requested the attack line be charged. Firefighter Dave Small assisted Firefighter Austin Staub with operating the pump panel. The line to the front door was charged but not needed due the fire being out. Command held the box to Engine 33-1 and Truck 33 on scene the remaining of the Company 33, 29,14 units in service. All units returned to quarters at 2042 hours
